KARAN’S JEWELRY

I discovered stones and beads about 1992.  There is something very relaxing about working with something that was created within the planet we live on.  Granted, man mined it and shaped it into a useable form, but we were only the doctors delivering what was made without our help.

For unknown millenniums men have used metals and stones for weapons and tools, and dressed their women in precious metals and special stones from the earth for personal adornment and symbols of wealth.  Various cultures added claims of healing qualities to many stones, and all cultures created divisions of precious and semi-precious.  So I am not the first person to feel this connection with the Earth when I make beautiful creations for women to wear and enjoy.

The beauty I see in a polished rock I try to enhance with silver or gold beads and wires.  For doesn’t beauty enhance beauty?   Is that not why men have given women jewels and pretty rocks to wear for years beyond what we remember?  What you wear with pride because it is beautiful – brings out your own beauty.  I hope you enjoy my beautiful stones.
