(2) Ian Evans in Australia suggested the front porch had been changed, this was confirmed by the previous owner who had sold the pillars from the original porch some years past. www.oldhouses.com au 2000

(3) Professor Robert Schweitzer of Eastern Michigan University researched floor plan drawings of the house and sent plans from different companies. The company  “Radford” came close to ours and two other homes here in Mangum.   www.umich.edu   1999

(4) The Historical Society cannot confirm the stories  I have been told about the placing of one upside down spindle in homes of this era to ward off evil spirits. I have seen two homes in Mangum with upside down spindles, one with theirs on the second floor landing, third from the end. The other home, seventh from the top of the stairs.
