Dining Room
All meals for the family were taken in the dining room. No one had their meals or snacked in the kitchen in the 1900’s. Family meals were a joy and a time to be together for conversation. The original fireplace with beveled glass is in the dining room. The separation of the sitting room from the dining room is unique because of its Tuscan order pillars, entablature, and is an unusual decoration to find in a home. The wood trim on the windows and baseboards is all original. The first floor is in nearly original shape with the ten foot ceilings, original walls, light fixtures and oak hardwood floors. The three floors contain 3,334 sq. feet and the unfinished basement contains 420 sq. feet. |
