Exterior  Architecture

The house is a three-story clapboard structure built in the shape of a Greek cross with an intersecting gable roof. On this front or east side of the house is a two-story clipped corner front with the roof squared over it. The porch runs around the first floor with brick half-pillars and a brick wall around the base for the porch(1). This is not the original porch, it is believed this porch was built in the 1920’s(2). Each corner of the house has a set of false pilasters that support a false cornice at the roof line. The north and south gable faces are half-moon windows, while the east gable face has a Palladian window. On the east side of both of the north-south wings are small gable roofed dormers with small rectangular windows.
