Mountain Hiking Trail and Butterfly Garden in Granite, Oklahoma
As you near the town of Granite, Headquarters Mountain dominates the view. At it’s base, the wildflower and butterfly garden is a small but beautiful way to enjoy a close up view of many species. The site has interpretive signage for the butterfly garden and for the two trails. I took the ‘easy’ one and the view was fantastic. Also along the path a collard lizard sat and watched us giving us a chance to get a nice look at Oklahoma’s State Reptile. Toooo cool! |
